  • Do bioethanol fireplaces need a chimney?

    No. Bioethanol fuel burns clearly, producing only water vapour and a small amount of carbon dioxide (similar to lighting a couple of tealight candles). They don’t produce any smoke, so there’s no need for a chimney or flue. Simply unpack your fireplace, position it where you want it, and light.

  • Are bioethanol fireplaces safe to use indoors?

    Yes, bioethanol fireplaces are completely safe to use indoors as long as you follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Our fireplaces are independently tested to BS EN 16647 and feature a patented ‘no-spill’ fuel box (GB2555760) to prevent spills even when knocked. Make sure you use it in a properly ventilated room and treat it with the same care as you would any other open flame.

  • Do bioethanol fireplaces produce real heat?

    Yes. Bioethanol fireplaces produce up to 3kW of heat, which is similar to an electric heater on a medium setting. This makes them an excellent supplementary heat source for a small to medium-sized room. They’re not designed to be a replacement for your central heating, but they will help heat your room on a cool evening – without the smoke, mess or cost of a traditional fire.
